Hello my name is Claire Chambers and I am the creator and owner of Chambers Estate and Letting Agents, an independent Estate and Letting Agents based in Water Orton, Birmingham. I would like to tell you a little bit about me and my experience within my chosen profession, why I decided to set up an Independent Estate Agents and the fantastic benefits of selling or letting your property with me.
I have spent my entire career in Estate Agency . I have worked at just about every level an Estate Agent branch has to offer. Some 15 years ago I started at my local estate agents on a work experience placement and I loved it. I knew that this was the career for me. After leaving school I started working for what is now a corporate estate agent. I worked as a negotiator and in sales progression. From here I progressed to valuing and then into branch management and branch partner. I have since worked for two further Estate Agents, both as branch manager. My last employment being in a large corporate Estate Agents. Working for these companies has given me an insight into the workings and practices of large corporate agents and has also allowed me to work around the West Midlands. Areas I have worked include:Castle Bromwich, Water Orton, Marston Green, Sheldon, Chelmsley Wood, Hodge Hill, Kitts Green, Shard End, Stechford, Hall Green, Shirley and Solihull.
I have a genuine passion for what I do. I love to meet new people and get a great deal of satisfaction in seeing a sale progress from an initial market appraisal to completion. I take pride in making the buying, selling and letting process as stress free as possible and with over 15 years experience behind me there isn't much I haven't seen or had to deal with. I would describe my approach as personal and realistic, (I see myself far removed from the stereotypical over the top estate agent) but also professional (I will pass on all of my experience and knowledge and will be honest, punctual and transparent).
So why start an independent estate agents ? Well I see Estate Agency changing. The internet has changed how properties are marketed. It is now possible to sell your property on the internet without ever meeting an estate agent. Of course this has its benefits, its often a cheaper way to sell your property. But for me that is where the benefits end. Being an estate agent is more than just placing a property on the internet. For me it is about knowing your area, the local house prices or rental values and trends, the local amenities and its about having continuity. Having someone you know and trust to guide you through the process. You could get this with a high street agent however this can come at a cost. Offices and staff as well as share holders need to be paid and the cost of maintaining such an office or brand must come from the client. High Street agents, particularly the larger corporate brands often juggle a large number of properties and you can get overlooked and lost in the numbers.
Here at Chambers Estate and Letting Agents I have created a business that is able to offer the best of both worlds, client focused and based on my own personal pride and values. I work from a small office at home. I don't have the overheads of the High Street Agent but I still offer a full High Street Service. This means I am able to pass the savings onto my clients. I have full access to all the major property portals including Rightmove and Zoopla. I offer property staging, professional photography, EPCs, floor plans and accompanied viewings. The buck stops with me and so the services I provide at Chambers Estate and Letting Agents are honest, adaptable to your needs and first class.
