Have You Considered An Open House Event?

Have you considered an open house event?

Whether you're working, working from home, stay at home parent or just enjoying retirement it can be difficult to find a spare half an hour.

When selling your house viewings from potential buyers can be stressful. Quickly tidying up after the children, sending the husband and dog out from under your feet all to get your home ready for people to view. When selling your house this can be repeated time and time again, and often at the busiest times of days.

This is where an Open House Event can benefit.

What is an open house event?

Simply this is when you give us access to your home on one or two days (normally weekends) or evenings for around 1-2 hours. During this time we invite prospective buyers to view your home. They will be given an allocated time slot and will be accompanied by one of our local agents. Each viewing will normally take around 15 minutes.

What are the benefits of an open house event?

Firstly it means only staging your house once. It has less impact on you, the seller as you only need to get you home ready to view just the once.

Secondly it means that by giving a date where people can view your home or property you are allowing it to be seen by a greater audience. This can encourage competition and get you the best possible price for you home or property.

Now this isn’t for everyone and is dependant on your circumstances as a seller but is something that we have used successfully here at Chambers Estate and Letting Agents.

Real Life Example

Property on Sheaf Lane, Sheldon, Birmingham. 3 bed semi detached.

After meeting my clients for this property and discussing a marketing strategy we had the property marketed on Rightmove and Zoopla within 24 hours. The phone didn’t stop ringing with interested buyers and after another discussion with the sellers, it was decided an open house was the best way to sell this property. We set aside a Saturday afternoon and had 19 perspective buyers through the door. Several offers later and the property is now sold subject to contract.

Why not give us a call and discuss all of the marketing options available for your property.
